Back home.
We had a great time and are back home safe and sound. Mom did a great job dog sitting Gunner, it made the trip alot better knowing he was home and not stuck in some kennel. Thanks also to Mom and Dad Sandifur for checking on them and bring supplies. We spent today playing with Gunner, unpacking and doing laundry. It is good to be home.
Denny's San Diego ride.
Monday Denny rented a 2007 Harley Road King and did some sightseeing while I attended the conference. He drove back up highway 101,visiting Left Coast Choppers and Carlsbad beach. The next day he drove to the Cleveland National Forrest then up the Laguna Mountain riding until about 5,000 feet where he hit snow and then decided that was far enough. He had the bike until Wednesday and did alot of riding making the most of the weather and a great bike.

Whale Watching.
Sunday we went on a whale watch. This was a big deal for me, I have wanted to do a whale watch since I was a little girl but my fear of water had always prevented me from actually going.
The water was choppy but it didn't matter we had a blast and saw several Pacific gray whales, dolphins and sea lions.
The views where beautiful.

First full day in sunny California
We woke up to sunshine and 60 degrees this morning. We rented an awesome black 2009 Ford Mustang convertible and took a 9 hour drive on historic route 101 up the coast ( with the top down). It is a beautiful drive and we enjoyed it greatly. We stopped at the beach in Carlsbad CA and walked the beach, ate at a great Italian restaurant overlooking the ocean and route 101. While walking on the beach, we meet a lady and her son that where familiar with upstate NY. They asked if we knew the Mudge family. When I told her yes she said that Matt had stayed with them here in California while he was in a training program, what a small world it is. We drove further up coast stopping at left coast choppers and got some big bear chopper freebies, they are really nice guys. We are back in San Diego exhausted and looking forward to a good nights rest. We are giving serious consideration to never returning and driving the Mustang home. LOL.

Christmas, New Years and Mom's move.
We have been busy here between the lakes, we spent Christmas Eve with the Sandifur family and Christmas Day with the Strickland/ Foote family. It was such fun to watch Sarah open gifts and she was very pleased with all of her gifts. New Years Eve Denny and I went to O'Malley's on Cayuga Lake for dinner, then came home watched a video and actually making it long enough to see the new year in. Mom moved on the 26th the movers did a very good job and she loves her new apartment with it's country views and wild turkeys that make frequent visits. Sean helped Denny deliver her bed this week she is now the proud owner of a king size bed. Thank you Sean.
Yesterday we delivered our old living room set to Jimmy, he is also excited with his new to him furniture and we love our new sleep number bed and living room room set. We are gearing up for a trip to San Diago CA at the end of the month, we will be there for a week, for the first day we are going to do some sight seeing and while I am busy with the conference Denny is planning some long Harley rides. We are looking forward to some warm weather.
